Dr. Jones (she/her) received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Claremont McKenna College, before attending Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Oklahoma at their college counseling center and athletic department and her post-doctoral fellowship at Washington State University in the athletic department. Dr. Jones has a passion for sports psychology and continues to gain training and knowledge in this area. She has a strong desire to help athletes of all levels and abilities address the mental health concerns that impact their sports’ performance and personal life.
Dr. Jones’s clinical training and experience focuses on working with college age students and young adults in college counseling centers providing individual and group therapy sessions that cover many mental health concerns. She has a strong interest in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, transitional and adjustment concerns, and identity and multicultural concerns. Additionally, she enjoys working with athletes and sport related concerns including support during injury recovery. She uses a cognitive behavioral and solution focused approach while working from a multicultural and client center framework. Dr. Jones also takes a holistic approach when working with clients and believes that physical health, including exercise, healthy eating habits, and sleep, are important for one’s well-being and success in life. She has a strong desire to assist her clients in reaching their goals and supporting them to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
In her free time, Dr. Jones enjoys everything outdoors including hiking, running, swimming, camping, and backpacking. She also enjoys reading and cooking.
