Our evaluation service model allows for same day turn around on nearly all evaluations. Below is an explanation on how your clinician can efficiently provide you clear answers on your and/or your child/teen’s issues, within such a short amount of time. On our first contact via phone consult, usually 15 minutes, the clinician will gather information to determine several issues: 

1) Reason for evaluation. 

2) Psychological measurements that will be required for the assessment, and 

3) Any collateral sources needed to aid in of the assessment (teachers, care providers, other medical providers). 

Once this information is gathered, and your clinician determines that an evaluation is needed, then they will take your contact information and schedule a date. (Please note, that besides Kaiser and Pacific Source, our providers are out of network. Thus, this is an out-of-pocket expense. Following this consultation, your clinician will send you several documents (Notice of Practices, Clinic Policies, Releases of Information), along with several measurements they have chosen for you to complete prior to the appointment. On the day of the scheduled appointment all other pre-selected measurements will be administered, and a comprehensive clinical interview will be given. After all this information is synthesized: measurements sent to you, diagnostic tools used the day of your assessment, collateral information gathered from other providers and/or teachers in your life or your child/teen's life, and an extensive history; feedback will be given. Your feedback will be delivered in clear concise language that you can understand along with resources and a path forward for you or your child. Again, at Forest Psychological Clinic our clinicians strive to provide feedback on the same day of your appointment. 

*Please note, if in the unlikely circumstance your clinician cannot complete the evaluation in the same day, there is complexity in your case, we need more information from a collateral source, or for an unforeseen difficulty in testing - then any incomplete testing and feedback will be rescheduled as soon as possible, at no extra cost to you.
