Dr. Zaheeda Virani, PsyD

Dr. Zaheeda Virani (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist (OR #3308) who provides comprehensive psychological evaluations and therapy for children, teens, and young adults. She specializes in diagnosing and supporting neurodivergent youth, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning differences.

assessments that explore cognitive, emotional, behavioral, academic, and executive functioning—especially when school challenges or developmental questions arise.

Dr. Virani earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Chicago, where she focused on Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychology and Advanced Adlerian Psychotherapy. During her training, she completed a prestigious APA-accredited internship at Pacific University and a residency at The Children’s Program in Portland, where she later worked as a staff psychologist. Her

background includes experience in therapeutic schools, outpatient clinics, and interdisciplinary care teams.

At Forest Psychological Clinic, Dr. Virani offers both therapy and evaluations for a range of concerns including autism, ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, depression, and social-emotional difficulties. Her approach blends Adlerian principles with evidence-based techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), helping young people build confidence, connection, and self-understanding.

Dr. Virani is deeply committed to culturally responsive care and honors the individual backgrounds, identities, and values of each client and family. She strives to understand the idiosyncratic and unique factors shaping her clients' lives and thoughtfully tailors her approach to meet their specific needs. Known for her warmth, compassion, and thoughtful communication, she works closely with caregivers and schools to ensure families feel supported throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic process. She is passionate about helping neurodivergent kids feel seen, valued, and empowered to thrive—at home, at school, and in their communities.

Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Virani is proud to call the Pacific Northwest home. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new restaurants, listening to music, and binge-watching crime and action dramas. She is also a longtime advocate for social justice and community mental health.
