Madison Weinard (she/her) is a Pre-Licensed Professional who provides therapy for children, teens, and young adults at Forest Psychological Clinic in Lake Oswego, Oregon. She works under the supervision and clinical licensure of Dr. Robert Field, Licensed Psychologist (PSY 3763). Madison brings a warm, grounding, and creative approach to therapy that helps clients feel emotionally safe, understood, and genuinely supported.
Madison is currently completing her Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. She is especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents and has a strong interest in trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, executive functioning challenges, identity development, and integrative therapeutic approaches.
Before joining Forest Psychological Clinic, Madison worked at Trillium Family Services on a child and adolescent psychiatric unit, where she supported youth navigating emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, trauma, anxiety, and complex mental health needs.
Her experience working in high acuity mental health settings helped her develop a calm, steady presence and the ability to remain emotionally attuned even during difficult moments. Madison has a particular passion for working with children ages 6–12 and enjoys helping younger clients build emotional awareness, confidence, coping skills, and self-understanding in ways that feel engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate. She especially enjoys helping sensitive and imaginative children feel more confident in who they are.
Her warmth, creativity, and playful relational style help children feel comfortable expressing themselves, especially when traditional “sit and talk” therapy may feel overwhelming or intimidating.
Madison primarily supports children, teens, and young adults navigating:
Autism
ADHD
Neurodivergence
Anxiety
Emotional regulation difficulties
Executive functioning challenges
Trauma and stress-related challenges
Depression
Behavioral concerns
School stress and social difficulties
Self-esteem and identity development
LGBTQIA+ affirming care
Madison brings a relational, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity affirming approach to therapy. She believes meaningful growth happens when clients feel emotionally safe enough to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment.
Her clinical approach incorporates evidence-based therapies while also recognizing the importance of creativity, connection, play, and authentic human relationships in the therapy process.
Her work may incorporate:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Play-based interventions
Art and creativity-based approaches
Mindfulness strategies
Person-Centered Therapy
Strength-based and neurodiversity-affirming care
Madison often integrates creativity, play, and expressive techniques into therapy for children to help them communicate emotions, process experiences, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence in ways that feel natural and engaging. She understands that children often express themselves differently than adults and works to meet clients where they are emotionally, developmentally, and relationally.
When working with teens and young adults, Madison focuses on building authentic therapeutic relationships while helping clients strengthen emotional insight, self-confidence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and practical coping strategies for daily life.
Madison is deeply passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients and helping children and families feel understood rather than judged. Families often appreciate her grounding presence, empathy, creativity, and ability to connect with children in ways that help therapy feel approachable and safe. She strives to create an environment where clients feel accepted for who they are while developing tools to navigate life with greater confidence, resilience, and self-understanding.
Outside of the therapy room, Madison enjoys art, creative projects, animals, mindfulness practices, and spending time with her partner watching sports and exploring the Pacific Northwest. Her creativity, warmth, and relational style naturally carry into her therapeutic work and help clients feel comfortable, connected, and supported throughout the therapy process.
